Q: Hi Andreea! What is your skincare regimen and what type of foundation do you use? I have very fair skin as well and have issues finding a good foundation that doesn’t look too cakey. Also, I just moved to a new climate and my skin has been such a disaster. You have such beautiful, healthy skin. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you!
I had the same problem when I first moved to LA from Las Vegas. I broke out all over my face and it was so surpassing because I didn’t really have acne during puberty, so to have it as an adult was awful. I went to a few different dermatologists and they all tried to dry out my skin to make them go away and one tried to treat it with antibiotics but both were not the answer. I already have super dry skiing and using topical ointments to dry it out more make my skin flakey and would start to peel. It was so frustrating. Finally, I just stopped using all the products Ive been given and decided to make every effort to thoroughly clean my face every night before bed. That was my answer! My skin finally started to clear up and I was back to normal in seven to eight months. Seemed like a lifetime though.
Acne is so hard to deal with because it takes away your confidence. No matter your looks if affects your mood. You don’t feel your best no matter how hard you try.
My routine when it comes to my face its pretty simple: Scrub, Scrub, Scrub! I can’t stress it enough. I got a really good face scrub (Refining Facial Polisher from Omorovicza) and I use it every day. Its probably not recommended that way but its what works for my skiing and brings the results I want. I also Neutrogena Makeup remover wipes to initially clean my skin. Then I wash my face with Omorovicza Cleaning Milk and when in the shower I scrub with the facial polisher I mentioned above.
Now as far as foundation goes, I don’t use it. All I use is a CC cream from Giorgio Armani. Its called Luminessence CC cream with SPF 35. That and a little blush and some mascara and your good to go.
