Simple and Sweet: Pineapple Coconut Banana Smoothie

Start your morning off with something sweet, tangy and healthy. This smoothie is like sunshine in a glass and is sure to start your day off right only natural ingredients that promote healthy weight loss, digestion, and is packed with healthy vitamins. Make this recipe to enjoy solo, or double it and share with a friend. Enjoy!

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of chopped pineapple

I typically buy the entire pineapple, chop it up, and use some for my smoothie and with some to spare. I recommend refrigerating your pineapple to enjoy your smoothie colder and chopping it into smaller chunks to make it easier to blend. Pineapples can aid in supporting your immune system, digestion, and anti-inflammatory properties.

  • 1 peeled banana

Bananas are a great source of potassium, fiber and have been said to aid in weight loss. I recommend freezing your banana the night before to make your smoothie extra cold.

  • 1 cup almond milk

I recommend the organic, unsweetened almond milk; this smoothie is sweet enough from the fruit and doesn’t need any added sugar.

  • 1/2 cup shredded (unsweetened) coconut

Adding shredded coconut will make this smoothie thicker, add that piña colada kick and also is beneficial for adding good fats.

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend for 1-2  minutes, enjoy!
