When we first decided to purchase a new build, we knew we wanted to make some strategic upgrades to truly make the house our dream home. One space that quickly became the focus of our efforts was the master bathroom. While the initial layout was functional, it didn’t quite reflect our style or how we envisioned using the space. One thing that particularly bothered us was having two closets in the bathroom. It seemed unnecessary, and we saw an opportunity to create something truly special.

The first big change we made was to eliminate the larger of the two closets. Instead of using that space for storage, we converted it into a luxurious area for a standing tub. We kept the linen closet for essential storage, but turning that big closet into a tub area was a game-changer. It gave the bathroom a spa-like feel and instantly elevated the room’s aesthetics.

The original shower was a standard fiberglass model with an aluminum railing and a plastic door—nothing about it felt high-end. We knew this was an area that could benefit from a major upgrade. The Final Result: Our Dream Bathroom
These upgrades have completely transformed our master bathroom, making it feel like an entirely different space. What was once a basic, standard bathroom now feels like a luxurious retreat. The addition of the standing tub, the revamped shower with Dekton Morpheus, and the custom vanity have not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal but also changed how we use and enjoy our bathroom every day.
In retrospect, focusing on these key upgrades has allowed us to turn a standard new build into a dream home that truly reflects our style and needs. We couldn’t be happier with the results, and our master bathroom has become one of our favorite places in the entire house.
