Thought green tea couldn’t get any better? Think again!
There’s a reason matcha green tea is my go-to drink. The powdered texture of matcha makes it perfect for making a cozy latte during the fall and winter. Plus, the benefits of matcha never go out of season.
For my matcha, I trust Pure Leaf for a consistently great brew with a delicious taste and pure, high-quality leaves. When it comes to tea, the quality and sourcing of ingredients make all the difference for that authentic taste. Pure Leaf’s Home Brewed Matcha Tea leaves are sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ tea estates shadegrown in Kagoshima, Japan.
There are so many reasons why matcha is great, and why Pure Leaf’s new Home Brewed Matcha (& Matcha with Ginger!) lattes are now a go-to. It’s always stocked in my kitchen!
1. Relax
Having a matcha tea or latte on a Sunday morning is a great way to relax as fall sets in. I usually make myself a hot cup, grab my favorite magazine and curl up on the couch with my two cats and a warm blanket.
2. Whole Leaf Benefits
Matcha green tea uses the entire leaf to make the powder, meaning you get 100% of the nutrients, with nothing left out. This gives you many more times the goodies of regular green tea! Other whole leaf nutrients include essential minerals your body needs.
3. Delicious and Simple to Make
Another main reason why matcha green tea is so easy to love is that it’s so simple to make. With a simple combination of water and Pure Leaf Home Brewed Matcha Tea powder which comes in pre-measured sachets for ease, you can create delicious warm or iced lattes. By adding a natural sweetener, your non-dairy milk of choice, or by trying Pure Leaf’s Matcha with Ginger, you can add a natural and healthy twist to traditional green tea. Matcha is enjoyable, satisfying and vibrantly flavored.
5 simple steps to homebrew a Pure Leaf Matcha Tea Latte:
1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan or teakettle.
2. Empty your matcha sachet (you can use Pure Matcha or Matcha with Ginger) into a mug or bowl.
3. Pour just enough water (about 2 fl. oz.) over the serving of matcha to blend.
4. Whisk until matcha is fully dispersed and there is a foamy layer on top.
5. Add the remaining water, some warmed milk and a couple teaspoons of honey or agave syrup. As a final touch, feel free to sprinkle cinnamon on top!
