When it comes to beauty, we all want to have what’s best for our skin, but we don’t want to have to pay an arm and a leg for it. When it comes to what I put on my face every day, I want ingredients that are natural and will promote beauty instead of deterring it by using harmful ingredients. However, most of us shop at drug stores and retail stores like Target because it’s cheap, it’s quick and it’s convenient. Sure, we’d all like to have the best of the best, but it doesn’t always work that way. After all, “you get what you pay for”, right? Well, these products prove that you don’t have to buy the most expensive thing on the shelf to pamper yourself, and you don’t have to go very far to get them. In fact, many of these products are preferred over other, more expensive variations because the ingredients are so natural, and simple. I found all of these products at Target, and they all work for exactly what I need, and the best part? They were all under $20. These natural beauty products prove that your beauty products don’t have to be expensive, but they can be convenient and effective in giving you a great natural beauty routine.
1. Nourish Organic: Moisturizing Face Cleanser
For a daily cleanser, it’s important to have something strong enough to get rid of all the dirt and germs, but not so harsh that it strips your skin of its natural oils. This is why Nourish Organic’s moisturizing cleanser is one of my favorite cleansers. With natural, nourishing ingredients like Aloe Vera, Cucumber and Watercress, this face wash is packed with moisturizing properties and replenishing antioxidants. With this face cleanser, a little goes a long way, so it doesn’t take much to get the job done. Plus, Target sells a small 1fl. oz bottle for only $3.99, such a steal and perfect for traveling!
2. Shea Moisture: African Black Soap Problem Skin Facial Wash & Scrub
For those times that a gentle face wash just won’t do the trick, I turn to Shea Moisture. Their problem skin face wash zaps current acne, helps to prevent future breakouts and exfoliates deep into your skin to ensure an even better clean. Kaolin Clay helps to absorb impurities, while Tea Tree calms and clears your skin. African Soap and Shea butter restores moisture back into your skin while giving you a deep clean.
3. Pacifica: Cactus Water Micellar Cleansing Tonic
Micellar water is a popular product throughout Europe, and it’s becoming increasingly popular in the U.S. for it’s hydrating and brightening benefits. Pacifica’s Cactus Water Micellar Cleansing Tonic is a 3-in-1, acting as a rinse-free cleanser, makeup remover, and skin toner. I love using this product when I need a quick cleanse after the gym, before applying my makeup and I use it on my skin and décolletté.
4. Botanics: Nourishing Facial Oil with Rosehip
Face oils are a hot topic right now, and for good reason. Use this oil after cleansing, before bed, and whenever your skin is feeling dry. Oil hydrates your skin and the rosehip which helps to brighten and tone the skin.
5. Burt’s Bees: Facial Cleansing Towelettes
Face wipes are a must-have in my beauty bag, because they are so convenient on those times when I don’t have time to cleanse, when I need a quick touch up, or when I want to get off stubborn makeup that still clings to my skin after washing my face. Keep cleansing towelettes in your gym bag, purse and carry on when traveling for a quick refresher. These Burt’s Bees towelettes smell like refreshing grapefruit and uses natural cleansers to do the trick.
6. Dr. Bronner’s: Pure Castille Soap
Dr. Bronner’s is a no-junk kind of a product. Their soaps can be used for everything from house cleanser to hair wash, but I like to use their soap for body wash and as a makeup brush cleaner. It’s 100% natural and infused with Organic oils to moisturize your skin as it washes. These guys have been pro’s at soap making since 1858, and it’s been a household name for generations. Plus, it only costs a few bucks for a bottle at Target. Done & Done.
7. Alba Botanica: Very Emollient Cream Shave
It’s really important to have an all-natural shaving cream because when you wash your body with hot water, and shave off your stubble, you are exposing your pores to whatever is on your skin to absorb it. Since skin is extra vulnerable when shaving, it’s important to reach for a product that has no parabens, phthalates or other junk. Alba Botanica Very Emollient Cream Shave does a great job of delivering you a product with all natural, and 100% vegetarian ingredients, giving you a smooth, moisturized shave without the irritating your skin.
