I can’t believe it, but Valentine’s Day is only a few weeks away! Whether you’re spending it with a special someone or having a Galentine’s Day bash, this holiday is a great excuse to dress up and have some fun with your style and makeup.
Last weekend I went to a Galentine’s Day brunch and decided to make a statement with my makeup look. I didn’t want it to be too over-the-top, but still wanted it to be a focal point of my look. I used the ColourPop It’s My Pleasure eye shadow palette to achieve my eye makeup. This palette was super affordable and has great pigment that can be use for a subtle or more intense look. On my lips I used the bareMinerals BarePro Longwear Lipstick, in the shade Cherry. This lipstick is one of my new obsessions, it’s vegan, moisturizing and definitely long lasting. For my foundation, I’ve been using the Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere Radiance Perfecting Foundation, my shade is Shell. This foundation can be worn for up to 15 hours and is made with skincare to keep your skin hydrated, makeup that benefits your skin is something I am constantly on the look out for. This makeup was such a hit at my Galentine’s day brunch and gave my look a little something extra! Below I’ll include some of my other favorites for creating a great Valentine’s Day makeup look.
For my Galentine’s Day brunch fashion, I decided to rock a red velvet dress from Hutch with my Bodaskins leather jacket, Ash boots and Givenchy bag. As for my Valentine’s Day outfit, I’m still shopping around and haven’t made any final decisions. But I did want to share some great options I’ve found while shopping for myself. I’m not sure what my plans are yet so I’ve been looking at anything and everything-from a cute sweater, to a silk dress!
