I don’t write too much about it, but interior design is one of my favorite hobbies. It’s not like I’m a design expert, but I truly enjoy scouring trends, designing our spaces, and using Pinterest as constant motivation for what I want our future home to look like. Naturally, when I knew I wanted to order a high-end custom slipcover to change the look of my couch and make it more pet-friendly, I quickly turned to Pinterest but was shocked at how little options I found that truly had a designer fill and didn’t look like a giant drape over my couch.
A few years ago, back when I was still in LA, I was very excited about the idea of a velvet blue couch in our living room. They were very on-trend and I just had to have one. I knew it might not be the most practical situation but I had to try it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long after bringing it home that I realized it didn’t work so well in a house with two cats and a German Shepherd. Plus, it felt out of style shortly after we bought it. As much as I loved the couch, it just wasn’t practical for a home with multiple animals. This is where Comfort Works and their made-to-order slipcovers come in.
We loved the shape, style, and comfort of the couch so we didn’t necessarily want to get rid of it, so I went looking for the next best solution – a replacement slipcover. After all, it couldn’t be that hard to find something to cover our couch and make it pet-friendly while still being cute, right? Wrong.
After searching for what felt like a year, we finally found Comfort Works. They create made-to-order slipcovers for any kind of couch or sofa – from large to small, they’ll work with you to create the perfect slipcover for your piece of furniture.
Some of the most common brands Comfort Works creates made-to-order slipcovers for including Ikea, Pottery Barn and Muji sofas (I personally like the Ikea slipcovers best style-wise). And like I said, they can also create a custom slipcover for whatever couch you have. Our couch is the Milo Sectional from Rove Concepts so Comfort Works had exactly what we were looking for. All we had to do was decide on the fabric. We ordered a few samples and immediately chose Savannah Saddle synthetic leather. Both Bryan and I liked the finish, so it works well for that mix of a masculine and feminine feel, and it’s veryyyy comfy. We’re big couch and TV people so we definitely wanted something that felt good to sit on.
Comfort Works had our made-to-order slipcover shipped in the course of a few months and it was so easy to put on over our velvet couch. I honestly never knew slipcovers could look this chic and elegant, but we’re so happy not only with how our couch looks, but how it functions in our space with the cats and dog.
We’re very thankful we learned about Comfort Works and can’t recommend the service enough to anyone looking for a high-quality slipcover for their sofa. Whether you need a more pet-friendly fabric like us or just want to switch up the look and feel of your space, Comfort Works definitely has you!
