I’ve had red hair before but it was the wrong shade for my skin and I ended up thinking red just didn’t suit me and went back to brown.
I found this article by L’oreal very helpful in figuring out my shade:
light skin tone: strawberry reds to copper shades
medium skin tone: You can pretty much give almost any vibrant red hair color a try. Be sure to stick to warmer shades like golden reds and rich coppers
dark skin tone: deep red hair colors. Anything from sultry wine hues to mahogany and burgundy red tones

My top 5 tips for dying your hair red: Lifestyle changes
Once I went red I quickly found out even the best color will bleed. So I had to buy black hair towels and sheets to change out my white ones and avoid ruining them.
Even though my red color is a little more high maintenance than I would have liked I am loving the drastic change. Demi and I decided on a copper-red Aveda color for my skin tone and I absolutely love it. I plan to stay red for a long time because I feel like it suits me better.
If you decide to go red, make sure you find me on Instagram and send me a DM with your new red locks! I’d love to see it.
