Now that Alina has officially graduated from using our favorite Snoo bassinet, I thought it would be a great time to revisit her nursery. When we posted our nursery reveal, we hadn’t yet gotten a ton of use out it. Now, five months later, I can confidently tell you my nursery must-haves.
NURSERY FURNITURE
When it comes to nursery furniture, there are a bunch of brands and styles to choose from. We decide to go with the Belle Collection from Evolur via BuyBuyBaby because of the ability to convert the crib to grow with the baby. The Belle Collection is timeless and feminine to me, so it can grow with Alina as she ages!
I did a ton of research on mattresses before Alina arrived and we opted for Newton Baby. Now that we’re transitioning her into her crib, I feel safe knowing that it completely, 100% breathable. It’s also washable – great for accidents.
We doubled our storage by purchasing a tall dresser as well as a wide dresser with a changing table topper that can be removed after Alina is potty-trained and its no longer needed. While not completely necessary, we got the Hatch Grow Smart Changing Pad and Scale and we are so happy we did. It gave me peace of mind being able to closely track Alina’s weight fluctuations after birth knowing she was getting enough milk without having to secure a pediatrician appointment. The changing pad also stain resistant and easy to clean, which is so convenient for any accidents that occur.
Wipe warmers have become a favorite for everyone in the family – lol. We literally have one on every floor. I keep them right on the changing table for easy access in Alina’s nursery. They are great all day long, but especially at night during nighttime changes, so she isn’t surprised by a super cold wipe.
NURSERY DECOR
For decor, we wanted a balance of whimsical and practical items to fill the space. I really loved picking out the art that hangs in Alina’s room. I got every piece from Minted, which sells has a wide variety of art from independent artists from around the world! Art can completely transform a space, so this is a must-have for me!
Another practical Hatch product we have absolutely loved is the Hatch Sound Machine + Beside Smart Light with Sunrise Alarm Clock. You can control its settings, such as mood lights, sounds and scheduling, through the Hatch Rest app. It has been super helpful with building and maintaining a sleep schedule.
BABY MONITOR
After some research, we landed on the Miku Pro as our choice baby monitor. We loved how it tracks live breathing using its breathing monitor technology, which you can see directly on your phone. You can also see reports and track your babe’s overall sleep week over week.
I hope this post was helpful and that sharing what’s in my nursery will help you create a functional nursery with cute, yet useful items!
