5 Ingredient Summer Smoothie Bowl

Summertime calls for refreshing meals that are high in natural sugars, antioxidants, Vitamin C and usable energy. This simple 5 ingredient smoothie bowl is a great breakfast recipe, lunch replacement, or a little pick me up during your day. Using only 5 ingredients that are jam-packed with nutrients, it is delicious, simple and will have your energy and keep cool in this summer heat. Feel free to add more toppings such as granola, coconut flakes, protein powder or a sprinkle of honey to satisfy your cravings.



Mangoes are a great summer treat that is great to incorporate into smoothies. They give your smoothie a great texture that is thick and full of juicy flavor. Mangoes are very high in magnesium and are considered a gut-healthy food because they aid in digestion (1). They are rich in beta-carotene which can improve eye health and the production of Vitamin A.


Like most dark berries, raspberries are rich in antioxidants and have among the highest fiber content. They are a great addition to your daily smoothie for their subtle sweet/tartness and even are said to contain a cancer-fighting property called ellagic acid. (2)


Adding your daily dark leafy greens to a smoothie is a great way to incorporate them into your daily diet. The sweet flavors of the fruit mask the taste of the greens, and the blender helps breaks down the protective outer layer of the leaves, releasing the nutrients to you quickly without a tough digestion process.
