- Use Shampoo Minimally
Is is necessary for our health and hygiene to stay clean from our head to our toes. However, many shampoos on the market are crammed with chemicals and ingredients that are harmful to our health in the short and long term. Many of the shampoos contain sulfates and chemicals that are harmful to our bodies and the fibers of our hair. Many shampoos cause clogging of pores and strip the hair of its natural oils. Reversing these effects can take years to fix. By using an a all natural, sulfate free shampoo, you can help your hair stay natural and healthy. Use a minimal amount of shampoo in the shower, only the necessary amount to clean your scalp and try to avoid shampooing every single day.

With continual photo shoots, business meetings, dates, or going out with friends, there always tends to be some reason most days my hair cannot be in a sloppy bun on the top of my head. Cutting the length can make styling easier, but there is still many times when heat styling is simply unavoidable. On these days, don’t fret. Using a heat protector before blow drying, curling or straightening your hair can ensure that you are protecting the fragile strands of your hair. Coconut, Argan, Castor, Almond, and Jojoba oil are some of the most common oils used for hair masks. Adding an oil to the surface of your hair can add strength and shine to your strands. With so much heat and sun exposure in our daily lives, as well as harsh shampoo and chemicals, it is easy for our hair to get stripped of these oils. Brushing your hair also helps spread the oils from the root of the hair down to the ends that tend to be more dry. These natural oils are necessary for hair health and growth, so spreading these oils down from the roots to the body of your hair can aid in strength and shine, and ensure no tangles or kinks cut the frmo the length.
