Can you believe Halloween is just around the corner? I often find myself scrambling to put together a last minute costume, so this year I decided to take some time and put together some easy-to-create Halloween costume ideas! You’re covered whether you are single and ready to mingle or the matriarchy of a family of 5! Let me know in the comments what you’re doing this year for the spooky holiday!
Singles Halloween Costume Ideas
Just because you don’t have a partner in crime, doesn’t mean you can’t dress to impress this holiday.
Bridgerton
Outshine your crew and transport yourself to the London summer season in a Regencycore-inspired look. You never know, Lady Whistledown just might write about it.
Beth Harmon – The Queen’s Gambit
There are so many great fashion moments in The Queens Gambit, so get creative. Make sure you snag this look-a-like wig to channel your inner Beth.
Masha – 9 Perfect Strangers
Go method like Nicole Kidman did in her role as Masha, the wellness guru, in 9 Perfect Strangers. All you need is an extra long wig and a flow-y white linen ensemble. Bonus points if you have a homemade smoothie 😉
Ted Lasso
You can actually buy the team’s gear, here – or you can opt to DIY it, like the items I’ve linked below. Just don’t forget the mustache.
Couples Ideas
Nothing beats getting creative on costumes with your boo. The key is to get really into it – you have to fully commit!
Sandy & Danny – Grease
Grab your tight leather pants and red lipstick.
Austin Powers & Fembot or Felicity Shagwell
Get shagalicious, baby with these groovy looks!
Edward & Vivian – Pretty Woman
You can’t go wrong with the classic looks from Pretty Woman, so go all out with your partner.
Margot & Richie – The Royal Tenenbaums
For those extra cold Halloweens (cough – looking at you Chicago), I’d opt for a costume that doubles for warmth.
Besties Halloween Costume Ideas
Some of my favorite Halloween’s were ones where me and my girlfriends coordinated our costumes!
Charlie’s Angels
So many iconic looks from these movies, how do you choose?
The Shining Twins
Opt for a scary look by dressing to the nines as the twins from The Shining.
Midwest 90s Moms
Cue the mom jeans and sketchers sneakers! Such an easy costume to find these days, especially because “mom jeans” are back in style! All you have to do is add a collared shirt, a sweater vest, skinny belt and sneaks.
Cher & Dione – Clueless
The 90s and Y2k are back in style, so it won’t be hard to find a Clueless costume or for you to DIY it on your own! I can’t get enough of the yellow plaid look Cher wears with the thigh high socks.
Family Ideas
Things get really interesting when you add your kiddos or pets to the mix. I’m so excited to try some of these with Alina and the dogs!!
101 Dalmatians
Can’t pass up the chance to wear a white & black wig!
Guardians of the Galaxy
Who doesn’t love baby Groot?
Wizard of Oz
There are always such cute animal outfits for infants. Use the opportunity to make your babe a little lion and the rest of your family members of Dorothy’s clan. Plus it’s super easy to DIY a Dorothy look.
Ratatouille
An easy option to pull off is to be the characters from Ratatouille! Have ur kiddo be a mini chef or Remy!
Hope you enjoyed my halloween costume idea round up. I had such a fun time brainstorming fun ideas for this year! Remember to comment below what you are being – I’d love to keep the ideas flowing!! We haven’t fully decided what we’re going to do yet, so throw your ideas out there.
