Luxury Living in Chicago: Trump Hotel

When given the chance to visit Chicago, deciding to go was a no-brainer. With a reputation beaming of its architectural marvels, breathtaking nature landscapes, and a contemporary and lively city, I couldn’t wait to explore. Before I could get into the details of all that Chicago has to offer, I had to pick the perfect place to stay. The place you decide to call your home away from home can quickly become the reason you fall in love or part of the reason you never want to return. Chicago is a vibrant city with many friendly people, crave-worthy restaurants, and exciting places to check out, but in such a vast city, it can be easy to make the wrong turn. Make sure you come back raving about your experience and not regretting it by picking the absolute place to book your stay before you go.

My Room

Upon entering my suite, I was instantly pleased. With great windows, I had plenty of natural light and sweeping views of the Chicago skyline. The room’s décor was contemporary and new, but with a cozy and classic hotel vibe. I instantly noticed the fresh feel and cleanliness and felt comfortable and relaxed. Kind and unobtrusive housekeeping daily set fresh linens, and the high-quality bathroom amenities were replenished daily. They even went above and beyond, to set out decorated Christmas cookies, macaroons and German chocolates in the kitchenette… so sweet! The kitchenette also had a hot plate, pots and pans, cutlery, plates, and everything you need if you brought back leftovers from dinner you wanted to prepare the next day.

Nothing says “Welcome!” like being greeted by a smiling and friendly staff, chocolate covered strawberries and a festively decorated Christmas tree. From the moment I walked into the door at Trump International Hotel & Tower, I knew I was in good hands. The Staff was extremely friendly. The Lobby staff was pleasant and attentive, one of the ladies even lint rolled me… talk about 5-star treatment! And if you’ve got a 2 am craving and decide to order Postmates, they’ve got you covered. The staff delivered my food straight to my door.

A delish breakfast can be the best part of a hotel stay. At Trump Chicago, we indulged our morning cravings at “Sixteen”, an upscale spot with a gorgeous view, amazing service, and pastries that were to die for! Fresh baked lemon cakes and almond croissants paired with fresh squeezed plum spiced apple juice and grapefruit juice made for a perfectly refreshing way to start the day.

Amenities

The other half of the hotel featured a residential space, creating all the more reason why the facilities and food were so exceptional. The spa was incredibly relaxing and refreshing. I chose from the service menu a citrus body wrap: a heavenly 60-minute full body treatment designed to nurture skin that has been exposed to the damaged by the sun or free radicals in the environment. The wrap was intensely hydrating, and the ingredients were all natural. My attendant was wonderful and gave an amazing massage.

The fitness amenities at the hotel were also impressive. The gym featured many different workout rooms for Yoga, Pilates, stretching and many weighted machines to use freely. There is also a locker room for security, which also featured many amenities and places to freshen up. There is a great pool that was significantly sized, a hot tub, and fresh towels.

Location & Transportation

Close to famed architecture, nationally acclaimed restaurants and world-class shopping, the location of Trump International Hotel cannot be beaten. Taxis are just a step outside the door, consistently lined up at your service, so quick transportation is a breeze.
