Summertime is here and surely you have been aiming for that gorgeous glow. Whether you are vacationing in a coastal paradise to lay out on the beach or if you live in a sunny place and want to stay right where you are for that lovely tan, there are some things you should have in your bag before heading outside. Check out my summer skincare travels for travel, beach days and achieving that gorgeous glow.
- Hydrating Moisturizer
When the sun is beating down on your skin all day, it’s important to keep it protected from the heat, dryness, and rays of the sun. To protect your skin, don’t turn to sunscreen alone, but to a good hydrating moisturizer. Keeping your skin moisturized will ensure that when you do get a tan that your skin stays elastic, smooth and not dried out or struggling from dehydration.
2. Light Guard/ Sunscreen
Don’t go all day without your sun being protected from that dreaded UV rays. A light guard and sunscreen will ensure you are protected from being burnt, but you can still get a light tan with a splash of a low SPF on your skin.
3. Makeup Setting Spray
Don’t let the heat and humidity ruin your pictures. Makeup can smear and melt in the summer sun, but if you use a setting spray you can protect your makeup all day long. Simply apply your makeup as normal, and then spray the setting spray afterwards- it will add wear time without adding weight to your skin.
4. Eye Cream
Focus a little extra care on the wrinkle prone eye area this summer with an eye cream. Opt for one that is brightening and gets rid of redness and puffiness for when that sleepless summer nights try to catch up to you.
5. Gentle Cleanser
Wash off the sand from the beach with a gentle cleanser, something that will keep your face clean and clear with pores free of dirt and grime without being too harsh and drying out your skin more.
6. Dry Shampoo
If you are traveling, beach camping or just feeling like you don’t want to shower “again”, keep a dry shampoo on hand for a fresh scent and feel to keep your locks clean and cute.
