You have probably heard it said all your life Vitamin C is one of the most essential and important vitamins your body needs to be healthy and fight illness. Just drink more OJ and run down to the Vitamin shop and grab some capsules, right? Ehh, not quite so simple… See as it turns out, Vitamin C that is sold over the counter is actually Ascorbic Acid. Females are recommended to have:

  • If you are a teenager (14-18)

  • If you are an adult (19+)

  • If you are an adult (19+)
    • 90 mg/day

Needing more Vitamin C is known, but it won’t help unless you’re getting it from the right source. Either get a Vitamin C that is true Vitamin C, or source it from foods that are naturally high in Vitamin C for the best results.
