These are 4 simple tips that can help you de-stress, and enjoy your day no matter what is going on.
- Yoga and breathing
When our schedules are so crazy, we don’t even have enough time to do what we “need” to do, it can seem impossible to take the time to do yoga, or take a minute to close your eyes and breathe. But the act of taking a few minutes to breathe deeply, or 60 minutes to do a yoga flow can increase your productivity in the long haul, saving you from getting burned out altogether.
2. Plan the night before
Sometimes the hardest part of the day is deciding what to wear, how to do your hair, and what to eat for breakfast. If you prep your meals, lay out your outfit, and even pre-decide on your hair and makeup look, the following morning will go by much more quickly and smoothly. Even on those nights when you’re so tired, instead of taking another glance at your phone, take some time to prep for the next day.
3. Eat well
Proper nutrition is directly related to having good energy. Try to eat a balanced breakfast, and lunch high in veggies, greens, fruits, and protein so you don’t have to take extra time to get another quad shot coffee just to get through your afternoon. Look for natural sources of energy like green and black tea, and stay hydrated.
4. Spend time with your furry friends
Animals bring us joy and can remind us that life doesn’t have to be as complicated as we make it sometimes. No matter what is going on in life, try to take some time to lounge with your cat, take your dog for a walk and just enjoy the carefree things in life.
